The Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Canada promotes healthy dogs for sport or show, but mostly as a life companion. We believe in ethical and selective breeding as a means of improving or maintaining dogs that conform to the breed standard. We reject the notion of breeding for the sole purpose of profit. We believe that Rhodesian Ridgebacks are pack oriented and should be integrated into our daily lives. We mentor and congratulate others appropriately. We spay and neuter pets. We hold education as a core value to our club.

The Ridgeback Club of Canada’s 5th Annual National Specialty will be held in association with the Essex County Kennel Club, in Leamington , Ontario, just outside of Windsor Saturday August 30th, 2008. The show is being held at the beautiful Colasanti Fairgrounds ........more

| A historic year for the Canadian Ridgeback! The Ridgeback really left it's mark. Not only were the Ridgebacks well rewarded in the Hound Group, many went all the way to an all breed Best In Show. 4th ANNUAL NATIONAL SPECIALTY
|

Our 4th Annual National Specialty was held August 4, 2007. Hosted by the Alberta Kennel Club (AKC) at Canada’s largest outdoor show of the year. The venue Shouldice Park, in Calgary is a beautiful location set against the Bow River on the western edge of the city.
